DOUBLE DECKER DARKROOM

After a trip to the National Media Museum in Bradford, I stumbled across the story of a young photographer who created his own travelling studio aboard a double decker bus in 1973. During a grand tour of the UK, Daniel Meadows’ free spirited vision captured pictures of 958 people - all of which were developed within the bus darkroom. I tracked him down to revisit the 70s and find out why he did it. Written for Photography Monthly magazine.
